Are you a hockey fan? The winter has officially defrosted and the professional hockey season is coming to a close. It has been an exciting season. The league started with 30 teams and is now down to the final four. Western Conference finals begin Sunday. Are you ready for all the action? Chicago had a 2-2-2 record this year against the Red Wings during the regular season. Watch out! This Detroit squad is a force to be reckoned with. The Wings’ performance from last season looks as though it may carry over into 2009. The only team between them and the finals: The Blackhawks. Chicago hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since 1961! Whoa… It’s been a while guys. What makes this year any different than the last 48 years of disappointment? Indeed, the Hawks have proven themselves by earning their way into the final four. Will almost fifty years of waiting come to an end? This match-up is clearly the best two teams in the Western Conference. Each team is well coached. Both teams have Stanley Cup-winning goalies defending the nets. Who will rise to the occasion? A lot can happen over this next series. The exciting fight for the cup presses on.
